王爺及王船信仰
The Worship of Wangye and Wangye’s Boat

全臺供奉王爺的廟宇,其王爺的由來有幾種不同的方式,有些是因王船漂至而迎請,有些是至其他王爺廟宇分靈,有些則是隨先民渡海來臺。
王爺,如果是領有代天巡狩的旨意,也稱為千歲,大都只冠上姓氏,而不稱其名,例如「某府王爺」、「某府千歲」。
桃園的王爺宮廟,大多集中在閩南人居多的桃園大園與新屋蚵間沿海地帶,其中有十二座重要的王爺宮廟。

一陣人去「綠色磅空」跤踏車出租站租車,
往福興宮的方向沓沓仔騎過去……
「綠色磅空」袂崎閣閬曠,歇睏日干焦予跤踏車專用,
海風不時仔鑽過濱海公路邊仔的樹尾溜向跤踏車路吹過來,
涼涼、鹹鹹,有夠𫝛海鹽薄荷糖仔的氣味。

Gently sloped and wide enough, the Green Corridor is a shoreside road that is bicycles-only on weekends and holidays. Sea breeze blows the treetops beside, cool and salted, like sea salt mint.

跤踏車路量約有四公里長,永安漁港是起點,福興宮是盡尾,
這是阿公上佮意的歇睏日行程,除了啖糝現流仔的好滋味,
上重要的是去福興宮參拜,遐是桃園海岸線上南爿重要的信仰中心。

行入福興宮,看著正殿面頂掛一塊劍獅木雕牌匾,
彼是一百四十外冬前對王船船頭拆落來的……
清朝尾,新厝庄蚵殼港蚵間村漁民許克明、許俊德兄弟,
發現一隻大船佇石滬靠淺,船帆、船索斷去矣、船舵歹去矣,
船頂煞無看見人影,干焦有七位夫人和七位王爺的神像四四正正排規列,閣有一隻羊、一隻狗,七張紅眠床、七組梳妝台,被鋪蓆、米、茶葉、油、鹽、鼎鍋仔、柴草、農具、雨具,閣有各種神器等。
當時仔,這是來自泉州府後府尾鱟喙的信眾打造的王船。

During the late Qing dynasty, two brothers of Kejian, a fishing village in Xinwu, found a large boat stranded at a stone weir. The cables and rudder of the boat were all broken. There were no one on board, except the statues of seven Ladies and their Wangye companions. It turned out that this was a Wangye’s boat built by the faithful of Quanzhou and furnished with seven dressing tables, seven canopy beds, cooking utensils, farming tools, and assorted religious items. There were also rice, tea, salt, cooking oil, firewood, bedclothes, rain gear, and even a sheep and a dog.
七位夫人字姓是王、金、李、黃、江、顏、駱,
隨從王爺是蕭、蘇、邢、沈、羅、池、朱遮的字姓。
村民共七位夫人佮七位王爺神像請落船,船頂的物件分批落貨,
安奉佇一間罟寮裡,兩年後抾錢動工起廟,就是這馬的「福興宮」。

Jiang, Yen, and Luo, while the Wangye were of the clans Xiao, Su, Xing, Shen, Luo, Chi, and Zhu.
The villagers unloaded the supplies in batches,
and carefully carried the statues off the boat to be housed in a fishnet shed.
Two years later, they pitched in and erected what is known today as Fuxing Temple.
因為新厝的海岸,有窞肚形的石滬,這隻王船才會靠淺停靠佇遮。石滬是早期漢族先民一種掠魚的方法,就地取海岸邊的石卵,
疊做上百甚至上千公尺的石岸,原理是利用滇流共魚群引入堤岸,
洘流的時就會當掠著受困的魚群,甚至會當掠上千斤的魚仔。
「可惜這馬看袂著彼隻王船矣。」
「毋過,洘流的時,有人捌看著船殼走出來喔!」
The Wangye’s boat ran aground because the weir formed an indent of the shoreline. Early Han settlers of Xinwu took the cobbles on the shore and built low dikes that were hundreds of meters in length. Shoals of fish, following the flow of the tide over the dike, would be trapped in the weir on the ebb. If lucky, the weir-keepers might catch as much as six hundred kilos of fish in one go.
“Too bad the boat is never to be seen again.”
“Yet some claim to have seen parts of it at low tide.”
