Taiwanese proverbs are derived from life through rhyme. They come with the literary delight of a couplet thus making the beauty of rhyme easy to remember. Some of the pair sentences are in a causal relationship; others are in a parallel relationship. Compared to idioms of simplicity, these Taiwanese proverbs are longer in length but still in rhyme. Hence, the proverbs are more powerful that bestow the highlight for the whole picture in conversations.
